ARes Partner API
API terms
Version 2026-09-30. These terms apply to every organisation that uses the ARes Partner API.
1. Access and keys
- API access is granted to your organisation after ARes approves your application.
- Keep API keys confidential and use them only from your own servers. Never put a key in a browser, mobile app or public repository.
- If a key is exposed, revoke it in the Partnership Portal straight away. You are responsible for calls made with your keys until they are revoked.
- One organisation per account. Do not share keys with other organisations.
2. What you may do
- Show job listings from the API inside your own product or service.
- When you show a listing, name ARes as the source and link to the listing's
urlor itsapply_url. - Use the statistics endpoints for analysis and reporting, including in published material that credits ARes.
3. What you may not do
- Resell, sublicense or redistribute API data as a raw dataset or feed, or offer it through your own API.
- Scrape the ARes website, or use several accounts or keys to get around your plan's limits.
- Try to identify, profile or contact individual people from API data, or send unsolicited messages to employers.
- Change listings in a way that misrepresents the employer, the role, the salary or the location.
- Use the API for anything unlawful, discriminatory or harmful.
4. Keeping data current
- Refresh stored listings at least every 7 days, and remove a listing within 24 hours of it no longer being returned by the API.
- Do not keep job data for more than 30 days after your access ends.
5. Limits and fair use
- Each plan sets requests per minute, requests per day and a maximum page size. Requests over a limit are refused with HTTP 429 and are not charged.
- ARes may lower limits temporarily to protect the service, and may suspend access that harms the platform or other partners.
6. Prices and payment
- Each endpoint costs a number of units and your plan sets the price per unit. Searches cost their units per started block of 10 results. Only successful calls are charged.
- Paid plans draw from a prepaid balance that you top up by card. Calls stop when the balance cannot cover them.
- Balances are not refundable except where the law requires it. ARes gives at least 30 days' notice before raising prices.
7. Data and privacy
- The API returns public job listings and aggregated statistics. It does not return personal data about ARes users.
- Listings are provided as they are. Their content belongs to the employers and sources that published them, and ARes does not guarantee that they are complete or accurate.
- You are responsible for complying with the data protection laws that apply to your use, including the GDPR where relevant.
8. Suspension, changes and contact
- ARes may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms, and will tell you why.
- When these terms change, you will be asked to accept the new version in the Partnership Portal before making further calls.
- Questions: use the contact form.
